A very warm welcome to Christ Church!
We are a local ecumenical partnership (LEP) between the former 'Church of Christ' United Reformed Church (formerly the Congregational Church), in whose building we are now housed, and the 'Methodist Church' which used to meet in a chapel on Long Street, Tetbury. The name was chosen to reflect this when we joined together at Easter 1992.
Whatever your background, you will be assured a warm and friendly welcome at any of our services. Since our unification we have travelled an extraordinary journey with Christ.
Please explore this website to learn about the exciting things happening in our Church today. From an 'Oasis Cafe' and 'Coffee Pot' on Wednesdays to "Chippin' Chicks" a carers and toddlers group, on Fridays to our monthly 'Messy Church' for families & kids of all ages, there is something for everyone. You are welcome to drop in on any of our events or contact us if you have any questions.
Jesus once said that the most important rule in life is to love God and to love your neighbour as yourself (and when he was asked, ’who is my neighbour?’ he responded with the parable of the Good Samaritan).
Our hope is that you will experience both a love of God and a love of neighbour within this community. We have a full and varied programme of events at the church, as well as close links with the other churches in and around Tetbury. We are, after all, Christians first, who just happen to worship in different places in a diversity of traditions. If you would like a pastoral visit to chat about a particular issue or problem then please contact our minister, Rev Noel Sharp. (details are on the 'Contact' page).
